The III International Congress of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy / IV Congress of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy of ESALD, intends to be an event of debate and sharing of knowledge and experiences in health, mainly related to Radiology, Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine. Therefore, there will be moments for the presentation of Free Communications and Posters to contribute to a greater personal and professional development.

Therefore, we invite you to participate in this space, presenting us your study, reflection and experiences, in the form of Free Communication or Poster, individually or in a group.

The abstracts will be assessed by the Scientific Committee, which will decide on the acceptance for presentation, according to previously defined criteria, through an opinion "ACCEPTED" or " NOT ACCEPTED ".

Formal Application Process

To carry out an adequate revision of the abstracts submitted to the Scientific Committee's evaluation, the following requirements must be met:

  • It should be the lecturer to submit the papers;

  • The lecturer of the Free Communication or Poster must, necessarily, register in the Congress;

  • The author(s) must be registered before sending the abstract;

  • The works must be original, that is, they have never been previously presented or published in other Conferences / Congresses;

  • The author(s) may submit more than one work, as long as they do not contain the same or similar data;

  • The author(s) can not belong to the Scientific Committee of the Congress;

  • The subject must be directed to the area of ​​Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy;

  • The author(s) should also mention the type of preferential presentation: Free or Poster Communication;

  • All Free and/or Posters Communications must be provided in abstract format through an own form;

  • The abstracts will not be returned to authors for correction for reanalysis by the Scientific Committee;

  • Certificates will be issued to all authors;

  • The delivery of the abstracts must be made until 23 February 2018.

Free Communication

  • The time of presentation of the Free Communications will be of 10 minutes, followed of 5 minutes for discussion;

  • They will be grouped according to the different themes;

  • The only equipment available for the presentation of Free Communications is DATASHOW, using PowerPoint, in Windows environment.

Posters

  • The Posters may contain images, figures, graphs, diagrams etc., with maximum dimensions of 70 cm (width) x 100 cm (height). Sending mockup in PowerPoint is mandatory.

  • The posters elected for the Congress must be delivered until 23 February 23 2018, at 2:00 pm, at the secretariat.

  • The Posters may be presented orally and must be exposed during the Congress, being obligatory the author(s) remain with him, at a time to be defined by the Scientific Committee, to proceed with the possible discussion of its content;

  • The Posters will be initialed by the Scientific Commission, with the result of the evaluation made by the Scientific Committee.

Standards and Abstracts submission

  • The abstracts of Free Communications and Posters must be written in Portuguese or English (preferential);

  • To submit this type of proposal, you must gather the following data: name(s) and institution(s), author(s), title of the communication, abstract of the work, keywords and subject area;

  • The maximum number of authors is five, and the presentation must be made only by one of them;

  • It must contain title, introduction, development, conclusion, name of the author(s) (asterisk to the right of the authors name that will present the work) and the contact of the author (telephone and email);

  • The research works should contain the following items: Introduction, Objectives, Material and Methods, Results and Conclusion. Literature revision works should contain the following items: Introduction, Objectives, Development and Conclusion.

  • It should be written in Word format, with Arial font (size 11, spacing 1.5, justified text);

  • It should not include figures, graphs or references throughout the text;

  • It should have a maximum number of 500 words;

  • The bibliography of the works must comply with the norms of Vancouver.

  • The abstracts of the Free Communications and Posters must be sent by e-mail, in digital format [MS Word format (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)], to the following address: congressoimrtesald@gmail.com. Abstracts of Free Communications and Posters will not be accepted by other means (paper, floppy or CD);

  • The proposal should explicitly state the title of the work as well as the authors.

  • The name(s) of the file(s) should be composed of the title of the work;

  • In the mail sent, it must include the author's full name and co-authors, the telephone contact(s) and email;

  • The author(s) with two or more papers should send an e-mail to each abstract individually.

General Conditions

The evaluation and selection of the abstracts are the responsibility of the Scientific Committee of the Congress, which is responsible for:

  • Check the conformity of the works with the above-mentioned abstracts standards;

  • Select the works presented in the contest;

  • Choose the main evaluation criteria;

  • Select the works to be displayed;

  • The communication of acceptance or not of the work submitted will be made by the Scientific Committee until 28 February 2018, by electronic mail (should send the preferred address to receive the result).

Note: Prizes will be awarded for the best Free Communication and the best Poster.
